CD Projekt Red's financial report provides insight into the company's current state. For the first six months of 2024, the Polish company's profit increased by 88% compared to the same period last year. The majority of the revenue came from strong sales of Cyberpunk 2077 and especially the Phantom Liberty DLC.

However, what interests us isn't just the financial figures, though they are important. These financial reports often include updates on significant projects. The next game in The Witcher universe, codenamed Polaris, may move out of pre-production as early as this year. The developers claim to have made significant progress, though it's still too early to discuss any release dates.

The same can be said for the second part of Cyberpunk 2077. The project team has slightly expanded, but for now, they are focusing on laying the foundation of the game. Most of the developers at the company are still working on Polaris, with 410 out of 639 people dedicated to it.
