Great news for Until Dawn fans! Filming for the movie based on the horror game began on August 5. PlayStation Production head Asad Qizilbash shared this information on his social media. The top manager attached a photo of a clapperboard used on the set to his message.

The director of the project is David F. Sandberg, known for the two parts of the DC superhero film "Shazam!" and the prequel "Annabelle: Creation". The screenplay was written by Gary Dauberman ("It").

It is still unclear how closely the adaptation will follow the original. The plot of the original game by Supermassive Games shows us a group of young people trying to survive the night in a mansion on Blackwood Mountain, hiding from a mysterious maniac. Over time, the characters realize that, in addition to the serial killer, a supernatural creature has also started hunting them.

The film's release date for Until Dawn has not been announced yet. However, a remaster of the game will be released on PC and PS5 this fall.
