The anime industry continues to grow, and it’s almost unimaginable for a popular title not to receive a sequel. However, that’s precisely the case with No Game No Life, a series that first aired in 2014 and captured fans' hearts with its stunning action scenes, unique concept, and vibrant color palette.

Unfortunately, nearly 11 years after the release of the first season, there’s still no news about a continuation. Amid this long drought, a rumor recently surfaced claiming that, according to alleged insider information, the second season of No Game No Life is close to being announced. The rumor spread like wildfire, leading many fans to flood the inbox of Yuu Kamiya, the author of the original light novel. Kamiya had to personally debunk the rumors, confirming that no work is being done on a second season.

Sadly, this means that if we ever do get a continuation of Sora and Shiro’s adventures in a world where everything is decided in games, it won’t be happening anytime soon.
