Directors Anthony and Joe Russo shared details about the runtime of the upcoming Marvel films. As it turns out, Avengers: Doomsday will run approximately 2.5 hours, while Avengers: Secret Wars will last a full three hours.

The main antagonist in both films will be Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. The Avengers, including the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts, and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), will face off against him. Downey Jr. is deeply involved in shaping his character: the actor has not only immersed himself in Doom's backstory but is also participating in the design of his costume.

After Jonathan Majors, the actor who played Kang the Conqueror, was found guilty of domestic violence and removed from the MCU (and it seems his character is being written out as well), the ruler of Latveria is poised to become the new global villain. Moreover, the entire Multiverse concept has largely been a failure and overly convoluted.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere on May 1, 2026, while Secret Wars will hit theaters on May 7, 2027.
