According to The Wrap, Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz — the creators of the successful series Percy Jackson and the Olympians — may join the project. Sources report that they are in talks to take on the roles of writers, producers, and showrunners.
It remains unclear whether the new series will be a global reboot of the franchise or a continuation of previous storylines. However, this shouldn’t pose a significant issue, as over the 30 seasons of the show, there have been seasons that were either loosely connected or entirely separate from the main storyline. The most cohesive narrative was only present in the first seven seasons.

An official release date has not yet been announced. Given Steinberg and Shotz's experience, viewers can expect a deeper storyline and a modern take on the cult classic.
This is not the first reboot or sale of the franchise. Over the past 30 years, Power Rangers has appeared on various television networks and has been sold twice to other companies by Haim Saban, its original creator.
