Exclusive partnerships between streamers and platforms usually don’t last very long. Content creators may stay on a platform for a year or two, but then return to Twitch. In Valkyrae's case, her exclusive agreement with YouTube lasted five years.

But all good things come to an end, and the streamer will celebrate her birthday on Amazon’s purple platform.

Interestingly, Valkyrae was the most popular female streamer on YouTube, but even that didn’t lead to a contract extension. Based on the fact that she asked about multi-streaming in the replies to the announcement, it seems likely that YouTube’s management simply wasn’t interested in continuing the partnership.

It can also be said that a large number of various streamers, as well as casual fans, were happy to see Valkyrae return to Twitch. Who knows, maybe on the 8th, Pokimane, Ludwig, or other streamers who responded to the tweet will drop by. Valkyrae has already teased a special marathon, but the official announcement will happen during her stream on January 8th. There are no more details for now, but the wait won’t be long.
