Frogwares has made a remarkable breakthrough in its crowdfunding campaign for The Sinking City 2. The main funding goal was reached incredibly fast—in just 2 hours after launch. And within a day, donations had already doubled the initial target.

But the surprises didn’t end there. Over the course of the month-long campaign, fans raised $591,389—5.5 times the original goal! A total of 5,424 supporters participated, unlocking all stretch goals set by the developers.

What players can expect in the sequel thanks to this success:

  • Evolved reptilian mutants with new variants
  • The legendary Shoggoth—a new nightmare from Lovecraft’s universe
  • Enhanced puzzles and mysteries
  • The return of a cult-favorite secret location from the first game

The studio has already promised that the game will be even darker, more mysterious, and more ambitious than its predecessor. The Sinking City 2 is scheduled for release in 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
