It hasn't even been a day since the shocking announcement from MOUZ, and reports started surfacing online about a potential new player joining the CS2 roster. According to Sheep Esports, the German club's management has reached a verbal agreement with Spinx, the benched player from Team Vitality.
It's important to note that even if this information is accurate, the phrase "reached verbal agreement" doesn't really mean much yet. Clearly, the Israeli player's contract will still need to be bought out, and MOUZ will have to negotiate with Team Vitality.
The move for Spinx seems like the most obvious option, as he is currently one of the hottest players who could strengthen almost any team. In 2024, he ranked 13th in the annual HLTV rankings, and two years ago, he was in the top 5.
However, some things are raising questions. First, there's the timing. If this information is true, it feels a bit too convenient: MOUZ just experienced the shock of losing siuhy, reached out to Spinx, and supposedly shook hands on a deal — all of this happening in what, hours or just a few days?
Second, I'm not sure if this was planned at all, because regardless of the conflict siuhy had with someone on a gameplay level, if I were in management, I would hold on to the Polish player. Great IGLs are extremely rare, and siuhy definitely falls into the Tier-S category. This suggests that a force majeure situation likely occurred, making the timing feel too perfect.
In any case, we’ll be waiting for an official announcement from MOUZ and further details on what happened with their Counter-Strike roster.
