While teams and players are enjoying their Christmas break, organizations are using this time to make changes to their rosters. While no major announcements have been made yet, we’ll take a look at some interesting rumors.
According to one of these rumors, Complexity might invite Sunpayus to their roster. The American organization now has an open spot after they benched floppy, which leads to a few possible options to consider.
Let’s start with the most straightforward scenario: the Spaniard simply replacing floppy. Sunpayus spent the latter part of the season with Team Falcons, and despite being seen as a very talented player, his time with the Saudi Arabian organization didn’t benefit his career much.
We know that Complexity is a fairly budget-conscious organization operating within its means, and its founder, Jason Lake, has extensive experience in Counter-Strike. So, this could be a pragmatic decision. The problem is that floppy is a rifler, while Sunpayus is a sniper.
Another possibility is if Complexity makes further changes. Jason Lake has said that he wouldn’t try to hold EliGE back if he wanted to move to a top-tier team. If that happens, Complexity would likely undergo a major overhaul. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a clear long-term plan in place at the moment. However, Complexity has always been good at getting the most out of limited resources.
We’ll continue to follow the stories from the world of professional Counter-Strike.
