Valve's new game, Deadlock, was only recently announced, but the community is already speculating about the potential esports scene that will form around it.

Currently, the Aurora Deadlock Masters tournament, with a prize pool of $10,000, is underway. However, it features well-known streamers and is more of a media event than a competitive esports tournament. Nevertheless,  there are already smaller community tournaments, so this is just the beginning.

Several professional esports players have announced their departure from their current games to focus entirely on Deadlock. Among them are Hardecki, a former Apex Legends player, and Vegas, a PUBG player.

Additionally, the Heroic Deadlock account has become active online, hinting at interest from the Danish organization Heroic. Rumors have circulated about other clubs showing interest, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

While this movement might be premature, it's fascinating to watch as the hype for this new title builds.
