The nineteenth season of the ESL Pro League became the first one which happened after the switch from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to Counter-Strike 2. Back then, MOUZ were triumphant, but it was unclear if they could defend their championship. The European squad can be considered in tier 1, but they still lack victory at the biggest CS events. This time, they made quite a showing in Malta.

Throughout the tournament, MOUZ lost only two out of fifteen maps. That is more surprising, considering the stellar performance that ZywOo and Team Vitality were having during the last three weeks. However, we've seen a total trainwreck as MOUZ won all three maps and Team Vitality could not do anything about it. The captain of Team Vitality called this match a catastrophe, and there is no word that better describes the situation from the side of the Paris Major winners.

MOUZ is building confidence with this victory, and that is also the second win in the Intel Grand Slam run. The club is tied with FaZe Clan, with each of them having two victories out of four. The next big event will be IEM Dallas, which will start on May 27.
