Natus Vincere is a remarkable team. After winning the PGL Major Copenhagen, many thought this triumph was a fluke. The subsequent decline in results seemed to confirm this theory.

Now, critics have been silenced: Natus Vincere convincingly won the Esports World Cup. The team played four matches and lost only two maps, one of them in overtime. In the final, the Ukrainian club outplayed G2 Esports (2:1, 14:16 @Ancient, 13:6 @Nuke, 13:6 @Inferno), who arguably were the tournament's biggest surprise.

We knew before that the new G2 core had great potential, but it was still unclear how the captain change would affect them. So far, it seems it hasn't worsened things, to say the least. An average rating of 0.95 for the tournament is a good start for Snax. The question is how the team will progress further.

The main outcome of this tournament is the end of the summer break. The renewed teams are ready to continue fighting, keeping in mind the next major in Shanghai, which will take place at the end of 2024. The next big tournament will be the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne, held in Germany from August 7 to 18.
