The greatest player of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive era, s1mple, who is currently benched by Natus Vincere, stated that the fans shouldn't bother speculating about his new CS2 team. He also confirmed that he won't be participating in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

Recently, s1mple announced that he had resumed training. Fans assumed that he might join one of the teams as a stand-in. However, based on his statement, even if he helps a team, it either hasn't qualified for the Chinese major, or the sniper will be signed after the tournament. However, the Ukrainian player is indeed playing much: people found that he finished around 20 FaceIT matches in the recent couple of days.

S1mple has had minimal presence in the pro scene for nearly a year. NAVI benched him in October 2023. During his inactivity, he played only one match as a stand-in for Team Falcons, marking his only official appearance in CS2.

In August, s1mple explained that he can't return to the professional scene due to his high buyout cost. The contract of the sniper with an Ukrainian club runs until late 2025.
