Turkish studio Motion Blur has unveiled Black State, a third-person adventure spy action game developed on Unreal Engine 5.

In the game's story, a mysterious Architect assigns a former legendary fighter the mission of rescuing a captured scientist and uncovering the cause of a world-shattering cataclysm. The main character must venture into a strange place where it's literally unknown what lies behind the next door.

In Black State, doors function like portals. In the trailer, developers showed how one door initially led to a small room, but when the protagonist closed and reopened it, a subway car was behind it. Moving between such portals will be a central theme of the game.

Motion Blur has reported that they have been working on the game for more than two and a half years. During this time, the action game's design document has grown to 250 pages. The developers are drawing inspiration from series like Metal Gear Solid, The Last of Us, and Uncharted. Unfortunately, Black State does not yet have a release date, so we'll have to wait.
