After two years of silence since their first gameplay reveal, Behaviour Interactive has unveiled a fresh look at Blight: Survival. The new trailer focuses on a swampy region filled with the remnants of destroyed villages. The environment is rife with macabre details: impaled heads of the dead, skeletal remains caged in trees, and scavenging vultures picking at decaying flesh. While the footage emphasizes visual fidelity over gameplay mechanics, it sets the tone for the game’s oppressive atmosphere.
The developers confirm that significant progress has been made, with a large variety of grotesque zombies now inhabiting the game world. These undead creatures wade through medieval muck, attacking unsuspecting survivors. Their designs highlight the horrors of decay, with festering wounds and rotting flesh. Interestingly, some zombies mimic the appearance of Landsknechts, using their human-like traits to confuse players before striking.
In Blight: Survival, players must team up in cooperative mode to navigate the ravaged kingdom, tackle numerous trials, and defeat relentless enemies. The central objective revolves around finding and eradicating the source of a deadly infection that spawns mutating diseases. This mission is fraught with danger, as the infection’s origin is protected by powerful bosses.
The game is set in a world torn apart by an unending war between two kingdoms, leading to societal collapse and a zombie apocalypse. With its focus on survival, teamwork, and terrifying adversaries, Blight: Survival aims to deliver a gripping and challenging experience.
