Diablo 3 continues to hold the traditional “Fall of Tristram” event. The event should end on February 1, but some fans would like it to stay in the game longer.

Community manager pezradar responded to these inquiries - making it clear that such a thing is simply not possible right now:

“I asked about Tristram and the possibility of extending it, but unfortunately [the event] is hard-coded and it's impossible to make server-side fixes.”

Pezradar also commented on the delay of the next season 34 of Call of Light, which has ruined weekend plans for some:

“I'm sorry. It's not what I was hoping for. We were notified about 24 hours before we had to adjust the time. The team needs to create new code to ensure a smooth transition between seasons after problems with the automatic scheduler that ended [last 33rd] season early in early January.

The extra time allows us to implement and test the new code, and ensure that players' progress is transferred smoothly from their accounts.

We can improve communication with players at earlier stages, and the team is aware of this for the future.”

Recently Wolcen Studio unveiled Project Pantheon, a free-to-play combat role-playing game that features elements of extraction shooter mechanics. On January 25, the first closed alpha testing will start for players in Europe.

On February 1, players from North America will join them. "We've blended the tension and risk reward of an extraction shooter with the battle dynamics of combat role-playing games," said game director Andrei Cirkulete. Diablo and Escape from Tarkov seem to have a parenthood. We are eager to hear from the players. In an attempt to bring order back to a destroyed world, players will take on the role of a messenger of Death.
