After 10 years of peace for the Sims, burglars are ready to rob their victims' houses again!  

In their latest blog, The Sims 4 developers announced the long-awaited update (though not all players are eager to be robbed). 

As in previous installments, installing an alarm system will help against burglars. Once triggered, the police will rush to the player's home and arrest the criminal. Skilled Sims can upgrade the device, making it less likely to break down and automatically call the police. If there's no alarm, players can try calling the police themselves and hope they arrive in time. Alternatively, they can attempt to befriend the burglar.  

There are also more creative ways to deal with burglars: setting dogs, spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves on the criminal, or freezing them with a special ray. Unfortunately, all these exotic solutions are only available with the corresponding expansion packs.  

However, the burglars update is already available and completely free.
