This time, Slayer is going into the dark ages as DOOM returns. At Xbox Developer_Direct, id Software formally unveiled DOOM: The Dark Ages, showcasing dynamic gameplay and announcing a May 15 release date.

The game promises to set new standards of graphics and performance thanks to the powerful idTech8 engine. The developers have implemented ray tracing to create realistic shadows and dynamic lighting, as well as increased the level of destruction and brutality. To give players time to prepare, the studio revealed the minimum, recommended and ultra settings in advance.

Minimum requirements (1080p, 60 fps, low settings):

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7 10700K (8 cores/16 threads)
