South Korean studio Shift Up, which gained recognition thanks to the success of Stellar Blade, is preparing for a new phase of development. According to insiders, as early as the end of June 2025, the developers may unveil their next project—a game codenamed Project Witches. This information was shared by Japanese insider Genki, citing informed sources within the studio.

The new game's presentation is expected after the PC release of Stellar Blade and the conclusion of a limited-time collaboration with the mobile game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Judging by the studio's current workload, Project Witches is becoming a key focus for Shift Up. This may indicate that no major story expansions for Stellar Blade are expected in the near future.

Project Witches is reportedly slated for release in 2027, and according to sources, Shift Up intends to make the project just as ambitious as their debut console title. Details about the genre and gameplay mechanics remain under wraps.
