The developers behind inZOI have rolled out a new update, version 0.1.3, which brings meaningful changes to the game’s mechanics—most notably, an increase in the lifespan of characters. This adjustment aims to enhance players' ability to connect with their Zoi (characters) and dive deeper into their stories.
Players had previously expressed concerns about the relatively short lifespans of their Zoi, who could pass away from natural causes at an early age due to a realistic probability-based system. While this added a layer of realism, it limited players’ opportunities to fully explore their characters’ lives and narratives.
In response, the developers reworked the lifespan mechanics. With the new update, only elderly Zoi are now subject to natural death. This change applies exclusively to newly created Zoi in fresh playthroughs; existing saves and current characters remain unaffected.
The team explained their reasoning behind the update:
We believe it's important for Authors [players] to form meaningful connections with their Zoi and immerse themselves in their stories. By extending the lifespan system, Zoi will live longer, giving players more time to experience significant moments before natural death becomes a possibility.
Update 0.1.3 also includes several quality-of-life fixes:
- Clothing Maintenance Fix: An issue where clothing could remain dirty or damaged after washing under certain conditions has been resolved.
- Game Stability Improvement: A bug causing crashes in specific scenarios has been addressed, ensuring smoother gameplay.
These updates reflect the developers’ commitment to refining the player experience while maintaining the charm and depth that make inZOI unique.
With these adjustments, players can now enjoy longer, richer interactions with their Zoi, fostering deeper emotional connections and exploring more intricate storylines. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to inZOI , update 0.1.3 offers a fresh opportunity to engage with the game’s evolving world.
