Techland unveiled Dying Light: The Beast during the Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2024. Following the reveal, more details about the project began to emerge.

Dying Light: The Beast tells the story of Kyle Crane, the protagonist of the first game. According to the plot, Kyle has spent the last 13 years imprisoned by a mysterious man known as the Baron. The maniac conducted various experiments on Crane, but eventually, the hero managed to escape.

During the development of Dying Light: The Beast, Techland drew inspiration from other picturesque forest towns like Hawkins from Stranger Things or Twin Peaks from David Lynch's cult series.

Parkour remains one of the key mechanics in the action game. Although the environment differs from previous installments, there are still plenty of buildings and other structures in the locations for the protagonist to leap between.

A significant difference in Dying Light: The Beast compared to previous games is the more active use of firearms. Despite the increased presence of weapons, the developers emphasized during the presentation that this doesn’t mean the game has turned into a pure shooter. Melee combat and other action elements still play a crucial role.

Currently, we don't know the release date, so we'll have to wait for more announcements.
