Marvel Rivals has only recently launched with big player numbers, and what better way to keep the momentum going than to introduce a special event around Christmas? 

This Friday, the Winter Celebration will begin, and five new skins are announced as the main rewards. Also, how about having fun playing as a land shark?

Here are the heroes which will have special winter-themed skins:

  • Venom
  • Groot
  • Magik
  • Rocket
  • Jeff

Their prices are not confirmed, although one of them is expected be free: Jeff skin will be a reward for playing in a special mode titled Winter Splash Festival.

What is it? 4v4 team battles that have an interesting objective. All players take on the role of Jeff and must use the land shark ability: icy breath. The closest game to describe the upcoming activity will be Splatoon: the team that freezes the largest area within the allotted time wins.

The event will end on January 9, as the developers are preparing other surprises for the players.
