Electronic Arts just confirmed what some insiders already leaked — the new Star Wars game is called Star Wars Zero Company, and we’ll get a full reveal on April 19 during Star Wars Celebration.
It’s going to be a turn-based strategy game, where you control a squad of unique fighters — each with their own powers and skills. There’s already a poster out showing a bunch of cool, different characters, but not much else is known yet. The official website is live, but it’s pretty bare bones for now.
If you’re into strategy games like XCOM, you might want to keep an eye on this. The game is being made by Respawn Entertainment (they made Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order) and Bit Reactor, which is led by a former art director from Firaxis — the team behind XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
The devs say they want Zero Company to break the mold of traditional strategy games and bring something new and exciting to the genre. So if you’re into Star Wars and love games where you control a squad and make smart moves, this might be your next favorite.
The full reveal is just around the corner — mark your calendar for April 19!
