This prediction comes from Kantan Games analyst Dr. Serkan Toto, who refers to the new model as the next iteration rather than a revolutionary change.

According to Toto's data, the rumored Switch Pro model did exist at one point, and some developers even had access to corresponding devices. This lends credibility to the earlier rumors about a new console possibly launching in 2022. However, it remains unclear why Nintendo ultimately decided to cancel the product so late in development and how the Switch 2 differs from the Switch Pro. The only information available is that the new console will be similar to the current one and will retain its main feature of portability.
Regarding pricing, the Switch 2 is expected to have a starting price of $400, with some games costing as much as $70, similar to pricing for Xbox and PlayStation games.
