Ubisoft seems to be facing a string of bad luck with its unannounced game, Project U Gameplay leaks began as early as 2022, shortly after the closed beta testing phase kicked off. These leaks resurfaced two years later, suggesting that the project is still alive and under development. Now, following what appears to be a reboot of the game’s development, an introductory cinematic has been leaked online.

The origin and authenticity of the cinematic have not been officially confirmed. It was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, who has a history of leaking gaming content. Weber hinted that more videos from Project U might surface if the game remains in development long enough.

Project U is expected to be a session-based cooperative shooter, with its creators drawing inspiration from the success of Helldivers 2 Based on the leaked footage, the game’s story revolves around an alien machine invasion of Earth, with players taking on the role of chosen individuals tasked with combating this extraterrestrial threat.

As of now, there’s still no official word on when Ubisoft plans to formally announce Project U
