The creators of the skateboarding simulator skate. have announced that the game will be released in early access in 2025. In the coming months, the developers plan to share more details about what players can expect from the upcoming title, but for now, a fresh short video has been released.

The video showcases gameplay from the pre-alpha version of the game. Players perform tricks in an urban environment, with some ramps unexpectedly appearing in front of the skaters. It also shows players being able to hang off obstacles and customize their skaters with various outfits.

Speaking of customization, the developers had previously discussed this in a May dev diary. Players will be able to fine-tune the appearance of their virtual skater, adjusting everything from height to facial structure. The wardrobe will include shoes, pants, outerwear, and hats, with real brands, popular among skaters, featured in the game.

The skate. will be a free-to-play game designed for PC and consoles. Over the past two years, "tens of thousands" of testers have tried the PC version, and this fall, console versions will open up for testers as well.
