The game hasn't been released yet, but Starfield has already got its first update. Developers fixed several bugs and added lots of enhancements.

Performance and Stability Fixes

• Improved game stability for pausing and playing (Xbox Series X/S).

• Fixed a rare crash when looking at credits after finishing the game.

• Fixed a crash when loading some game saves inside ships too many times.

• Made the game run smoother and more stable.

Visual Fixes

• Fixed hair not showing on some characters.

• Made far objects look better when moving to a planet.

• Fixed faces moving weirdly sometimes.

• Fixed white flash boxes sometimes appearing on the Handscanner.

• Fixed players getting stuck in The Facility.

• Fixed a ship part issue on the Razorleaf.

• Fixed companions not joining the player after "No Sudden Moves".

• Took care of a problem in "Power from Beyond".

The developers also talked about making and growing characters in their posts. First, you design how your character looks and decide where they come from. The background gives your hero a little story.

Then you pick personality traits, which give extra abilities. Over time, you'll get new skills, which can make your character do even more.
