The devs over at Weappy — yeah, the folks behind This Is the Police — just dropped a new trailer for their upcoming metroidvania, The Eternal Life of Goldman. The video gives us a solid peek at the gameplay, but the real surprise? The killer lineup of composers working on the soundtrack.
They’ve pulled in some big names: Yasunori Nishiki (you’ve heard his stuff in Octopath Traveler and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth), Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss, Florence), Mason Lieberman (Stray Gods, LoL: Wild Rift), and Pete Lepley (Wargroove, Sky Rogue). According to the devs, each composer’s vibe will come through loud and clear — from chill, emotional tracks about love and death to high-energy bangers for the game’s intense moments.
The Eternal Life of Goldman is set to launch later this year on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The story follows a lone explorer on a dangerous journey across a mysterious island chain, all to take down a godlike being. Sounds wild — and with that music lineup, it’s definitely one to watch.
