The developers are expected to announce the release date for Elden Ring: Nightreign, but it is not the only information that may go public as the gaming press may share previews of the upcoming game. According to Henderson, the plan A for developers is to launch the game in the end of May. The choice of February 12 for revealing more details also has strong reasoning behind it.

First, a new State of Play presentation may take place on February 12. Secondly, from February 14 to 17, there will be a closed test for some of the lucky players who signed up. They are likely to share details of the game and gameplay, so the developers will want to get ahead of them.
