Zani and Ciaccona Announced for Wuthering Waves

The development team behind Wuthering Waves has officially unveiled Zani as the newest playable character in the game.

Zani is a reliable and methodical member of Montelli, known for her disciplined routine and her exceptional ability to tackle any challenge effortlessly. For years, she has been punctual, finding balance in her highly organized lifestyle while also cherishing her carefully scheduled moments of downtime.

In addition, Kuro Games has introduced Ciaccona, a character already featured in the 2.2 storyline. The announcement of her 5-star character status strongly hints that she may be made available for free as part of the May anniversary event. This follows the precedent set when players were granted free access to Xianli Yao after a similar dual-character release.

Image: x.comAlthough unconfirmed, it seems likely that Ciaccona will be introduced later in Wuthering Waves version 2.3. Kuro Games has yet to disclose her weapon or attribute details, but much like Zani, she could be featured in an upcoming story chapter or be part of a companion mission where players can learn more about her background.

Wuthering Waves update 2.3 is set to launch on April 29, 2025, coinciding with the game’s official debut on Steam.
