Harry Potter fans have a new reason to rejoice: Food Network has announced a cooking competition show, "Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking". The series will be hosted by Oliver and James Phelps, known for their roles as Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films, as reported by Variety.
In the show, talented bakers will compete to create desserts inspired by the Harry Potter universe. Viewers can expect to be immersed in the fantastical franchise's atmosphere, with sets resembling Hogwarts, Gringotts, and Platform 9¾. Production on the show has already begun.
Developed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, the project will be available to stream on Food Network and Max.
The last major Wizarding World event occurred in February 2023 with the release of the highly acclaimed video game "Hogwarts Legacy", which received a 91% positive rating on Steam based on nearly 200,000 reviews. In April of the same year, Warner Bros. announced the production of a TV series based on the books, unrelated to the 2001–2011 film series.
