It looks like Xbox decided to share with the world their everything. It is not about the PS5 ports but also about third-party development of some of the most known IP in the gaming industry.
Media reports indicate that several major South Korean gaming companies are competing for the rights to develop new games set in the StarCraft universe. At least NCSoft, Nexon, Netmarble, and Krafton are involved in the race. Some of their representatives have even personally visited Blizzard’s offices to pitch their ideas and secure the rights to use the iconic franchise.
The agreement at stake allegedly includes the rights to develop and publish new games globally. The deal reportedly covers multiple genres, including RPGs and shooters. For South Korean companies, working with StarCraft presents a major opportunity—both for expanding their presence in the global market and for monetizing Western audiences.
Each of the four companies has its own strengths, making the outcome of this battle highly unpredictable.
