Overwatch 2 developers have been keeping busy lately. Recently, they temporarily released a classic mode that takes us back to the roots of the original Overwatch, and now they’ve announced a new tank hero named Hazard.

The trailer for Hazard has sparked mixed reactions. Firstly, many immediately drew comparisons between Hazard and Sigma due to their similar appearances. Secondly, the style of the reveal video has been a topic of debate.

Unlike the traditional cinematic trailers Blizzard is known for, this one is styled more like something Riot Games might use to reintroduce Jinx. The issue is that Hazard doesn’t seem to be an edgy character like Jinx or Apex Legends’ Alter. Instead, people suspect that this perceived "drop in quality" might be tied to internal company layoffs.

As for Hazard himself, judging by the trailer alone, he hasn’t made a strong impression yet. Unfortunately, it’s hard to pinpoint any unique trait that could quickly gather a fan base around him. Perhaps during the testing session scheduled from November 22 to 25, players will have a better opportunity to assess his potential.
