According to reports, Nvidia is already working with partners to get the GeForce RTX 5060 ready for launch. The most interesting detail so far? It might officially drop on May 19 — the same day the first reviews go live.
If you’re hoping to grab one early, you’ll have to rely on Nvidia’s own performance tests when making your decision. Early rumors suggest demand for the RTX 5060 won’t be crazy high. In fact, many are already calling it just a "slightly better" version of the RTX 4060.
The RTX 5060 is expected to be the cheapest card in the new lineup, priced at $299 — just like the last generation. It’ll have 8GB of VRAM, which might feel a little underwhelming in 2025. And with these reports the 5060 Ti card with 8GB looks basically useless. Why would you overpay $80 for little improvement? (No wonder, NVIDIA didn't want big publicity on those cards)

At the same time, AMD might jump into the action too. Word is, the Radeon RX 9060 XT could launch around the same time, offering better performance than the RTX 4060 — and maybe even for less than $300.
