ESIC has suspended the 18-year-old professional CS:GO player Joel "JoeLXD" (joel) Holmlund from participating in tournaments. This information was announced on the organization's official website.

It is reported that Joel violated ESIC's anti-corruption code while competing in the BetBoom Playlist. Urbanistic as a part of the GODSENT team. Between March 27 and 28, he placed bets on matches, including those involving his own team, which subsequently resulted in his team's loss. He also placed 17 other bets on CS:GO events later on.

Joel has been banned from participating in tournaments by organizers associated with ESIC. The commission also noted that other organizers might follow suit. The duration of Holmlund's ban is still unknown. He was removed from the GODSENT roster in May.
