The group stage of VALORANT Champions has concluded, and teams are enjoying a few days of rest before the final playoff bracket. The results of the group stage have been quite surprising.

Firstly, all regions are almost equally represented. The exception is Group B, where instead of Gen.G Esports, the top-seeded team from the Pacific region, Sentinels managed to secure a playoff spot.

VALORANT Champions has an interesting format in that each group had only one representative from each region. However, in the first round of the playoffs, there are three regional matchups. This was clearly a deliberate choice, and it could work well for the double-elimination bracket.

This means that in the early stages of the lower bracket, we will see cross-regional matches, adding more excitement and interest for the fans.

The first playoff matches will begin on August 14, with the grand final scheduled for August 25. The winner of the upper bracket won't have a map advantage in the final, but they will get a bonus during the map veto stage.
