Recently, Respawn has been facing significant challenges, with critical bugs in Apex Legends surfacing at an alarmingly frequent rate, severely disrupting the gaming experience. Players have encountered issues such as losing account progress and in-game purchases, and for two days, they were unable to play in ranked mode because the season ended prematurely.

Moreover, the developers were slow to fix the problem. The first patch addressed peripheral bugs rather than the core issue, and the following day's patch seemed to resolve the matter, but many players found their ranks reset. Finally, on the third day, Respawn claimed to have fully resolved the issue.

As compensation, affected players were granted a single Apex Legends pack, which many considered an insultingly small gesture. For comparison, the last time a similar issue occurred where many players' accounts were essentially reset, Respawn awarded each player eight packs. The stark difference in compensation has not been well received.

As a result, only 8% of the reviews on Steam over the past 30 days have been positive. While the majority of these reviews followed EA's decision to cancel the purchase of battle passes with in-game currency, there hasn't been a review bombing in last three days, but the overall situation is quite disheartening.
