The military shooter Arma Reforger has received a major Update 1.3, introducing several new types of military equipment and expanding gameplay possibilities. This update significantly enhances the game’s strategic depth and realism.

First and foremost, combat helicopters have been added to the game. Players can now pilot armed versions of the UH-1H and Mi-8 helicopters. These helicopters are highly customizable, allowing players to equip them with sights or unguided rocket pods to suit their tactical needs.

In addition, two new infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) have been introduced: the BRDM-2 for the Soviet faction and the LAV-25 for the American side. These vehicles provide enhanced mobility and firepower, offering players more options for tactical maneuvers.

The update also adds mortars to the game, with the Soviet 2B14 and American M252 models available for use. These weapons allow players to deliver indirect fire support, adding a new layer of strategy to battles.

Furthermore, developers have introduced environmental destructibility, allowing players to destroy trees and demolish buildings. This feature makes combat scenarios more dynamic and varied, as players can now reshape the battlefield to their advantage.

A new mission scenario has also been added, where players can take on the role of an American special forces operative tasked with hunting down Soviet officers. This scenario provides a fresh and immersive experience, showcasing the updated gameplay mechanics.

Since its release on May 13, 2022, Arma Reforger has been available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. As the first installment in the franchise to support consoles, the game has gained popularity among gamers, particularly due to its modding capabilities. Serving as a testing ground for the upcoming Arma 4, ArmA Reforger continues to evolve with updates like this one.
