EVO 2024 is the main event in the fighting game community, and it's no surprise that many developers aim to make big announcements. Tekken 8 announced the return of Heihachi Mishima, and Arc System Works prepared a trailer for the fourth season of their flagship fighting game, pleasantly surprising many fans. The creators of Guilty Gear Strive and CD Projekt RED will have a crossover. Lucyna Kushinada (better known as Lucy) from the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will join the game's roster in 2025.

The developers did not show what the mercenary will look like, but this is largely because she will appear in the game only next summer. Arc System Works announced that over the next year, they will add three more additional characters to Guilty Gear Strive: Queen Dizzy, Venom, and Unika.

Future updates to the fighting game will also include an online 3 on 3 mode, several arenas, and skin color customization for fighters. Guilty Gear Strive was released in 2021. It has 36,000 reviews on Steam, of which 91% are positive.
