The Game Awards 2024 keeps delivering big announcements. First, we had the Witcher 4, and now, big news for the fans of soulslike games. FromSoftware announced a new cooperative spin-off of Elden Ring, titled Elden Ring Nightreign. This is a standalone game where a team of three players will battle against very impressive (as usual in Elden Ring) bosses.

You can check out the gameplay trailer below.

It seems that Hidetaka Miyazaki wasn't lying when he said that a sequel to Elden Ring isn't planned just yet, but the franchise will still expand. We don’t have details on the storyline yet, but it's unlikely that it will introduce anything drastically new. Yes, it will be a new adventure, but whether it will expand the setting remains an open question.

However, unlike The Witcher 4, we know the release window. The game is expected to launch in 2025 on all current platforms — PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
