Funcom has released a new video showcasing gameplay from the MMORPG Dune: Awakening. During Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live, we've finally seen the glimpse of an ambitious project set in an iconic fantastic universe. 

In the video, the developers of Dune: Awakening showcased interactions with other characters and group combat. Players will have access to a variety of weapons, including melee options, automatic rifles, and drones for long-range attacks. Gamers will also be able to construct their own bases, which can be relocated using blueprints that replicate the essential features of the structure — these blueprints can also be sold to other players. The bases will provide various crafting tools.

Dune: Awakening was announced on March 4. The release date for the MMO is still unknown. The game already has a page on Steam, where interested players can add it to their wishlist. In addition to PC, the title will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
