After the trailer at the Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live, Studio Funcom dived deeper into the features of the Dune: Awakening in the separate presentation on the next day.

The video showcases character creation, the starting location, and exploration of the environment, specifically desert planet Arrakis. During the gameplay session, players gathered resources, participated in battles with NPCs, built a base, and began crafting. The developers had discussed the combat system features and the use of blueprints for construction.

Dune: Awakening was announced on March 4.The universe by Frank Herbert has been attracting people across the globe for decades, so the announcement of a game in the MMORPG genre was received greatly. For quite some time we did not see any gameplay, although the game generated hype. Now we are getting some details.

However, we've yet to know the exact release date. All we know is that Dune: Awakening will be launched on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Sony PlayStation 5.
