The creators of Mortal Kombat 1 have released the launch trailer for the first big expansion titled Khaos Reigns.

The DLC adds 6 characters (half from the MK universe, half are the guests) to the game but also introduces additional story content revolving around Liu Kang and his battle against the Titan Havik. Developers of MK1 will also bring back Animalities, allowing players to transform into certain animals to finish off their opponents. For example, fans might remember Liu Kang's iconic fatality, where he transforms into a dragon.

While much of the content has been previewed in earlier trailers — such as the gameplay of Sektor, Cyrax, and Noob Saibot, who will all appear along with the DLC — the developers have introduced some new exclusives. The trailer showcases Ghostface, a guest character who will join the fight later, and his stylish fatality. 

Khaos Reigns is set to release on September 24, and it will be interesting to see how it performs, especially since the $50 price tag has sparked significant dissatisfaction among players.
