Studio Bitmap Bureau has unveiled a game styled as an old-school side-scroller based on the movie Terminator 2:

Although the plot is inspired by the iconic second installment of the famous action movie series, the developers promise original storylines and even multiple endings. At the same time, key scenes from the film will remain intact.

The game will allow players to take on the roles of the T-800, Sarah Connor, and the now-grown John Connor in turn. Playing as the first two characters will let players battle the T-1000, while playing as the third will allow them to lead the resistance.  

Fans of the original movie will be thrilled to hear the franchise's famous main theme in the trailer, as well as to see familiar moments from Terminator 2, now reimagined in stylish pixel art. In addition to the main story, the game will feature several arcade modes.

The game is set to release on September 5, 2025, for all current-gen consoles and PC.
