We're back with another episode of our update series "How is Ubisoft today?" While the upper management is still trying to survive in all that filthstorm they've been in for quite some time, there is a positive headline, as one of the annoying problems is gone.

It seems Ubisoft has finally managed to resolve compatibility issues between Assassin’s Creed titles and the 24H2 update for Windows 11, which caused Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and several other Ubisoft games to stop functioning properly on the new OS since at least the fall of 2024. The solution came in the form of fresh patches. The updates were announced on the Steam pages for Origins and Valhalla.

Gamers in the comments under the patch notes are thrilled and have refrained from criticizing Ubisoft, as, this time, the issue was caused by Windows rather than the game developer. Many are thanking Ubisoft for the long-awaited fix. However, the recent reviews for both games still remain “Mixed.”

There’s also hope that the Assassin’s Creed Shadows won’t face a similar problem. The game’s release was recently postponed to March 20, as Ubisoft aims to focus on improving its quality, because its launch will likely determine the fate of a company.
