One of the biggest hits in recent years has been the Dune franchise. Following Denis Villeneuve's two films, the media machine is now in full swing. Fans can look forward not only to the survival MMO Dune Awakening but also to several side projects. One of these, the series Dune Prophecy, has premiered on Max.

The plot focuses on two sisters from the noble House Harkonnen, who are striving to secure a stable future for humanity. They engage in political maneuvering and manipulate other noble houses to achieve their goals.

Simultaneously, the story delves into the reign of Emperor Corrino, who struggles to maintain power amidst growing challenges related to spice production on the planet Arrakis. The series also promises to shed light on the governing structure of the Imperium.

There are six episodes in this series. Critics have praised the cast performances, the theme of difficult political topics, and some standout moments. However, the series is considered to lack the epic scale of the films, basically, staying in the shadow of Villeneuve's works. Some viewers felt it dives too deeply into the lore. Many question whether the story can be effectively explored in just six episodes.
