This week is hot for all the fans of hero shooters, as two biggest titles both release their big updates. While Marvel Rivals is two days away from the start of Season 1.5, Overwatch 2 has already launched its 15th season, bringing plenty of new features and long-awaited changes.
First and foremost, the "6v6" mode has returned, though only for a limited time. Loot boxes have also made a comeback, now earnable simply by playing matches (three boxes per week), as well as through the battle pass and seasonal events.
Additionally, before each match, players can now select two perks for their heroes—one with a significant impact on gameplay and another with a smaller effect.
Other notable features include:
- An instant replay function showcasing key moments from the match.
- A rank reset, marking the start of a new competitive year.
- An earnable "Galactic" weapon skin available for all heroes.
The season will last for two months, Season 16, with a new hero and a new game mode, is scheduled for April.
