After Deadlock was finally announced by Valve, the next big open secret is perhaps the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro. Many insiders spoke about it, and they believe the new console from Sony will be announced before the end of the year. However, now we might have an extra proof, because quite famous billbil-kun even presented the sketch of possible design, as they obtained the PS5 Pro package. No real photos as they would be likely DMCA-striked.

They mentioned that the design of the Pro version is indeed very similar to the current PS5 models, but the new model is slightly thicker. It will also have metal stripes on the black background. The insider is not yet able to confirm whether the console will have a built-in disc drive. However, billbil-kun has not heard of any plans to include one.

Since detachable disc drives for the PS5 are already available, it's possible that Sony might opt to exclude a built-in drive in order to offer the device at a lower price, the insider speculates. The detachable panels should be compatible with all PS5 models.

Billbil-kun expects an official announcement in the first half of September.
