The playoffs of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 turned out to be quite unusual. Few would have expected to see MOUZ and Team Falcons in the final stage. Both teams had recently made roster changes and weren’t exactly considered ultimate favorites. However, fate had other plans, and one of these squads had the honor of lifting the trophy after their roster shake-up.

The grand final was dominated by MOUZ, as the European club secured a confident 3-1 victory (13:6 on Dust2, 4:13 on Mirage, 13:11 on Nuke, and 13:9 on Ancient). Meanwhile, in a rare third-place match for a Counter-Strike tournament, Astralis edged out FaZe Clan in an intense battle.

The next major tournament in the Counter-Strike scene will be ESL Pro League, set to begin on March 1 in Stockholm. While its prize pool might not be as big as those we've seen in Cluj-Napoca ($400 000 versus $1 250 000), many top teams will take part in it, because ESL will provide extra money to those top teams who will visit most of its top-tier tournaments.
