In Season 22, Apex Legends will embrace a cyberpunk aesthetic. The update, titled "Shockwave", promises a wealth of exciting content, such as a neon-lit map, accelerated respawn mechanics, and more.

The standout feature of the "Trios Revival" mode is the respawn mechanic. It allows Legends to stay in the match longer without needing banners or beacons. As long as one squad member is alive, players will automatically respawn on a timer until the fourth ring. However, with each death and subsequent round, the respawn time increases. To reduce waiting time, teammates need to perform aggressive actions like dealing damage and getting kills.

A new map, "E-District", will be introduced. According to the developers, it is well-suited for dynamic vertical battles. It's an entertainment center that has previously experienced riots and even a chemical attack.

A new feature will allow players to fire two guns simultaneously. Players can hold a P2020 or Mozambique in each hand, but they cannot mix and match different guns. In akimbo mode, fire rate and magazine capacity increase, but aiming is disabled, and reloading takes more time.

The Shockwave update will launch on August 6.
